In the streets of our communities, we meet children who have no place to call home. Some are orphans. Others have been abandoned. Many have run away from violence, extreme poverty, or family breakdown. What they all share is the same harsh reality: they are trying to survive, not live.

We have sat with children who go days without food. We have seen them sleep in unsafe places, exposed to illness, exploitation, and fear. We have met young boys and girls who dream of going to school but cannot afford even the most basic materials—a notebook, a uniform, or school fees. Some are sick but have no access to medical care. Others carry emotional wounds that no child should ever have to bear.
